For custom inkjet art prints I prefer to use Epson inks and Epson or
other quality inkjet photo papers - please note
that the life of any photographic print is limited based on the quality
of materials used (inks, print papers, mounting boards, matte and framing
materials) as well as the conditions under which the print is both stored
and/or displayed - avoid exposure to direct sunlight and/or harsh lights for any
print (or painting) that you value. The information below is from the
Epson web site (2008 information.) Note that this information is
only valid for art prints purchased directly from me where I have
used Epson papers and inks - prints from one of my third party vendors may use
other inks or photographic papers.
(paper) Light Resistance / Print Longevity
- Water resistant
- Light resistant²:
Up to 108 years Premier Art™ Matte Scrapbook Photo Paper for Epson
Up to 92 years on Epson Watercolor Paper Radiant White
Up to 85 years on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper
Up to 77 years on Epson Premium Semigloss Photo Paper
Up to 76 years on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper
Up to 71 years on Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper
Up to 61 years on Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper
² - Ink lightfastness ratings based on accelerated testing of prints on
specialty media, displayed indoors, under glass. Actual print stability will
vary according to media, printed image, display conditions, light intensity, and
atmospheric conditions. Epson does not guarantee longevity of prints. For
maximum print life, display all prints under glass or lamination or properly
store them. Visit www.wilhelm-research.com,
refer to the Epson Stylus Pro 4000, which uses identical inks for the latest
information.
In very general terms - you should expect that any image viewed online
will be darker when printed - your monitor is a transparent medium (light
passes through it) - any print that you view is reflective (light bounces
off of it.)

I also offer canvas gallery wraps in
partnership with a specialty vendor:
Canvas
Made from the highest quality fabric, our heavyweight artist canvas is ideal for
photo- graphic and fine art reproductions.
Longevity
Canvases are all treated with a UV inhibiting coat, that protects the canvas
from fading. The canvas coating combination is rated to last for over 100 years.
Gallery Wrapping
The term "gallery wrapped" refers to the way the canvas is stretched
over the wooden supports. In this case, the image "wraps" around the
side of the supports and is stapled onto the back. This is a finished look that
allows you to hang the piece without a frame. If desired, you can also
frame these specialty prints but the product is ready for hanging when
delivered. This product also works well for 'series panels' (i.e. same
photographic subject using a time series or panoramic series suitable for
display over a larger space.)
Please contact me for additional information on any of these photographic print
products.
